HOME CONNECTIVITY

If you select the remote control option in the menu or the Watch > Watch on TV button when you select a show, and select the ‘Re-scan’ button your app will scan your local network for connected TiVo boxes. If it cannot find any, there are a few things you need to check.

First check if your TiVo box is set to accept commands from your Virgin TV Anywhere app. By default, we do this for all TiVo boxes, but you may need to double-check if you’re a brand new customer. To do this, get your TiVo remote and go to Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Network Remote Control, then choose Allow network-based remote controls. If asked for a PIN, the default is 1234.

Then you need to check if your TiVo box is connected to the same home network as your mobile or tablet.

You can connect TiVo to the Super Hub using an Ethernet cable. Do this by plugging one end into the Ethernet socket on the back of your TiVo® box and the other end into the back of your Super Hub.

Then you might want to use a smart TV wireless adapter or powerline adaptor that use your home's electrical wiring to send the signals between your TiVo box and Super Hub. That way you won't need to trip over extra cables going through your home. To install Powerline adapters:

1.     Plug one of your Powerline adapters into a wall socket (with its power off) near your TiVo box.

2.     Plug the Ethernet cable into the TiVo box then plug the other end into the Powerline adaptor.

3.     Then turn on the power on the Powerline kit, and the Power and Ethernet lights should come on.

4.     In the room with your Super Hub plug a second Powerline adapter into a wall socket (with the power off) near your Super Hub.

5.     Then connect the Super Hub to your adapter with the other Ethernet cable.

6.     Turn the power on and the Power, Ethernet & Powerline lights should come on.

7.     Once the Power, Ethernet and Powerline lights come on, the new Powerline adaptor will have been recognised by the network - this can take a few minutes.

8.     Your TiVo box and Super Hub are now connected and ready to go.
