How do I post to newsgroups?

As well as reading other people's posts you can post your own messages to a newsgroups.

1. To post a message to a newsgroup, first highlight the newsgroup you wish to post to:
   
   
   
2. Then click the New Post button:
   
   
   
3. You will then be presented with a new message box, similar to a new email message window. You will notice that the newsgroups field has already been complete:
   
   
   
4. Now just type a subject and a message in this box:
   
   
   
5. Once you have completed your message simply press the Send button:
   
   
   
6. You may then be presented with the following dialog box:
   
   
   
7. Simply press OK. Your message has now been posted to the newsgroup. However it may take some time to appear.

You will now be able to see any posts that you make in the list of messages.

How do I reply to a newsgroup post?

Replying to a specific message in a newsgroup is much the same as composing a message to one.

1. First select the message you wish to reply to:
   
   
   
2. Now press the Reply Group button:
   
   
   
3. Now complete your message as normal:
   
   
   
4. Then press the Send button:
   
   
   

Your reply should now appear within a short period of time.

How do I reply to the sender of a newsgroup post?

As well as replying to a message posted on a newsgroup, you can also email the person that posted that message.

1. First select the message you wish to reply to:
   
   
   
2. Now click on the Reply button:
   
   
   
3. Now complete your message as normal:
   
   
   
4. Then press the Send button:
   
   
   

This will send your mail to the individual and not post it to the newsgroup.
