Area 51 is a top secret military base found about 100 miles outside of Las Vegas. The primary purpose of the base is to develop and test experimental aircraft and weapons for the US government – though until 2003, they wouldn’t even admit its existence.
Unsurprisingly for a place so shrouded in secrecy, Area 51 has been the focus of numerous conspiracy theories. So what exactly does, or doesn’t, go on there?
