The 49-year-old presenter has revealed he uses The Mulberry Inn in Chiddingfold, Surrey, which he owns, as a place to collate his ideas for the BBC show.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''I'm using the pub as the base for all my 'Top Gear' planning.
''We've had hundreds of ideas. We've got through a lot.''
And Chris - who is taking over from Jeremy Clarkson as the show's front man - has previously admitted he feels like ''Doctor Who'' because of the amount of presenters who have come before him.
