Justin Bieber to perform at AMAs from Zurich

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber will make an appearance at this year's American Music Awards, it was announced on Wednesday, although there's a catch -- he'll perform from Switzerland.

Currently bringing his "Purpose" tour to audiences worldwide, Bieber will be in Zurich when he performs for audiences at the AMAs, set to air on ABC November 20 at 8:00 pm Eastern time from Los Angeles.

Justin Bieber joins previously announced performers including James Bay, Fifth Harmony, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Niall Horan, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 with Kendrick Lamar, and Sting.

He is also nominated for Video of the Year, Favorite Male Artist - Pop/Rock, Favorite Album - Pop/Rock, Favorite Song - Pop/Rock and Artist of the Year in the fan-voted awards. He'll be performing at the AMAs for the sixth time.
