The first of the new seventh generation of consoles, the Xbox 360 has already been out for a year during which it's seen classics such as Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dead Rising and Gears of War.
Its range of games are still clearly focused on appealing to American males, but Japanese support has already improved from the first console and the PS3 has done little yet to prove its supposed graphical superiority.
At least until March the 360 is the most powerful console on the market and even beyond that Xbox Live is likely to remain the best online service.
It's a pity Microsoft chose only to sell some 360's with a hard drive, ensuring developers couldn't always guarantee it was there, but if it continues to rival PS3 sales worldwide, as it is already doing in the U.S., it's software support rating could very quickly start to rise.
