The thing about arcades is they weren’t just video games sitting in a vacuum; there was the sights, the sounds, the smell, the taste… You might have a few snacks on hand to play a game at home but in a seaside arcade you came for the games and stayed for the fish ‘n’ chips and novelty fudge.
