To set up Windows Mail for Vista for an email address ending in @blueyonder.co.uk, do the following:
- Launch Windows Mail by clicking on Start, then Windows Mail. If you have not created a Windows Mail account previously the Wizard will launch. Alternatively, select Tools, then select Accounts. The Internet accounts window displays, as shown below:
- Click on the Add button. The Add Account window displays, as shown below:
- Select E-mail Account, and click on Next. The following window displays:
- Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From field when people receive emails from you. Most people use their full name (first name and surname, for example Richard Branson), however you can choose any name. This does not have to be the same as the name in your email address.
- Click on Next. The following screen displays:
- At the E-mail address prompt, enter your email address in the format your.name@blueyonder.co.uk
- Click on Next. The following window displays:
- From the Incoming e-mail server type drop-down list, select POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: field text box, type in pop3.blueyonder.co.uk..
- In the Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: text box, type in smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
- Leave the Outgoing server requires authentication check box empty.
- Click on Next. The following window displays:
- In the E-mail username and Password text boxes, enter your email address and password.
- Click on Next
- On the next screen, click on Finish.






That's it! Your email address is set up, and ready for use in Windows Mail for Vista.
