We've received loads of queries since we launched Virginmedia.com. Here are the most frequent questions and answers.

Q: Is it true that downloads will be capped?

A:

There are no intentions to introduce limits on the amount of data you can download.

Q: Will I get a new email address?

A:

Yes. We will make them available at some point, but we will let you know by email closer to the time. You will still be able to keep your old one though.

Q: How do I get to my email?

A:

You can find your email by using the following links:     http://www.virginmedia.com/account/sign-in.php if your email address ends in @ntlworld.com.     https://webmail.blueyonder.co.uk/ if your email address ends in @blueyonder.co.uk.     https://webmail.virgin.net/ if your email address ends in @virgin.net. You can bookmark these pages in Internet Explorer by clicking on Favourites, Add to Favourites, to make them easier to find them in future. Customer with email addresses ending in @ntlworld.com can use our easy website sign-in feature too. Once you've signed in once, you land back on the home page, but then you can reach your email any time with just one click.

Q: What is my email address now?

A:

At some point in the future we will make Virgin Media email addresses available to anyone who wants one, but you will always be able to keep your old address if you want. For now there is no change at all to your email service, and we will let you know by email if there's anything you need to do to get a new address.

Q: Where are all my free games gone? I loved turning on and playing now it seems I have to download and wait

A:

We think it's important that people can play free games! That's why we've got a brand new games section at http://playgames.virginmedia.com/. They shouldn't take long to download at our superfast speeds, and with Virgin Media there are no download limits!

Q: The weather isn't showing my town like it used to?

A:

Thanks for spotting this. We're onto it and hope to fix in the next day or two.

Q: Where are competitions?

A:

Competitions are now in the Play, Bet, Win channel here: http://www.virginmedia.com/playbetwin/competitions/

Q: Where are horoscopes?

A:

Horoscopes are now in the Siren: Celeb & Style section of the website at http://horoscopes.virginmedia.com/. You can bookmark this page in Internet Explorer by clicking on Favourites, Add to Favourites, to make it easier to find it in future.

Q: Where can I pay my bill online?

A:

Ex-ntl customers are still unable to pay their bill online and should continue to pay in the current format. Q: What is happening to my security software?

A:

If you used our PC security package before, the new Virgin Broadband PCguard is the same basic software, so you should easily be able to get used to the new packaging. There have been some changes to the features and options - for example all Broadband customers now get free Anti-Virus and Firewall. PCguard has also been improved to make it even easier to use, and give you greater protection. You'll find more information about how to get hold of the new package at www.virginmedia.com/customers/pcguard/.

Q: Can I use NetGuard with Vista?

A:

For the time being, your NetGuard service is not compatible with Vista, Microsoft's latest version of Windows. If you're thinking of upgrading your computer to Windows Vista, please be aware that Netguard will not work and you should not try to install it. We're sorry about this problem and rest assured we're working hard to make NetGuard compliant and will let you know when it is. In the meantime, you can find out more at www.virginmedia.com/vista

Q: How much V+ installation cost?

A:

V+ installation costs £75.

Q: How can I make the font size easier to read?

A:

You can change the default text size on your internet browser to make it easier to read. In the menu at the top of Internet Explorer, try clicking on View, then select Text Size from the drop-down list, and then click on Larger or Largest, and that should help.

Q: How come there's no rugby league news in the rugby section?

A:

We're taking your feedback on board, and our sports editor is on the case. If you check back on www.virginmedia.com/sport in a couple of weeks, we should have added a brand new rugby league section.

Q: How do I access ebilling?

A:

Customers with email addresses ending in @blueyonder.co.uk can access ebilling here: https://ebill2.virginmedia.com/ebilling/Logon.jsp. Customers with email addresses ending in @virgin.net can access ebilling here: https://client.virgin.net/ebill/start. You can also you can find these pages by following the Customer Zone link at the top right hand corner of our website, and there's a link to ebilling in the left hand navigation. You can bookmark these page in Internet Explorer by clicking on Favourites, Add to Favourites, to make them easier to find it in future. We are sorry but there is no ebilling facility for customers whose email address ends in @ntlworld.com as yet.
