How to get PCguard

To get PCguard or download additional copies of PCguard you need to log into My Virgin Media as the main account holder.

To log into My Virgin Media browse to www.virginmedia.com and click the login button shown:

Once logged in click the Set up PCguard/Set up PCguard Total link:

Or if you already have PCguard and want another copy for a new computer or 2nd or 3rd computer you’ll see a link to Download PCguard or Upgrade or Download PCguard Total.

You’ll then see a page confirming your PCguard services. If you don’t get PCguard Total free you’ll get the chance to purchase this for £3 per month here:

You will then receive confirmation that you have signed up and see a button to Download PCguard:

The 'File Download' dialog box will then appear.
Click the 'Run' button as shown below:

What’s Broadband Advisor?
Broadband Advisor is a small executable file that is downloaded at the start of the PCguard download. Broadband Advisor allows PCguard to be kept up to date.

Once the download is complete, installation of 'Broadband Advisor' will begin to guide you through the rest of the setup process. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

During installation you may be asked to Run a file from Publisher RadialPoint.

RadialPoint work with Virgin Media to provide PCguard

During installation, you may be asked to uninstall any existing security software that may conflict with PCguard.

To get the best performance from PCguard, we strongly recommend you remove your existing software and use PCguard as your single, comprehensive security service, if you are paying a subscription for alternative security don’t worry you can get PCguard when this expires by clicking here.

To uninstall a conflicting program, select it in the 'Conflicting Programs' window, click on the 'Continue' button as shown below and follow the uninstall instructions:

Note: If you are prompted to restart your computer, we recommend you do this as this will ensure you have the latest virus definitions. PCguard installation will automatically resume after your restart.

Once you've uninstalled existing security software (if any), PCguard will resume installation automatically.

Simply follow the instructions in the PCguard Install Wizard to complete the installation.Once PCguard is successfully installed, you will see the following icon on your desktop:
