What are the Virgin Media ISP settings?

This page provides the generic ISP settings for Virgin Dial-up customers.

Virgin Media pay as you go dial-up

0844 0544 020 (Internet calls are charged at 6p per minute during the daytime, evening and weekend, if you have a BT line)

As supplied. Call your support number, or contact customer services if you don’t have it.

IP and DNS address settings

  • IP address – make sure your computer is set up for automatic IP addressing.
  • DNS server – make sure that your computer is set up to obtain a DNS server address automatically.

Email settings

  • Email – your email address in the format user.name@adsl.virgin.net
  • Password – the password you set up for this account
  • Outgoing mail server – smtp.virgin.net
  • Outgoing mail server type – SMTP
  • Incoming mail server – pop.virgin.net
  • Incoming mail server type – POP3

    You will need some or all of this information when setting up your mail account. Take a look at Setting up an email client for details.

    Note: Your Username and Password are created when you activate your account.

  • News (NNTP) Server - news.virgin.net
