Site statistics

statd isn't the most user friendly of names -- but it doesn't usually have to be. These are graphs that are generated by the Statistics Program (or Daemon -- hence the name) that the administrators of the Zeus Web Server use.

These graphs aren't usually made available to the end user -- feel privileged! -- and indicate real time site usage in both bytes transferred and hits.

You can get graphs both for the last 24 hours and the last 7 days.

How do I access my stats?

Login to the Selfcare interface and select it from the PWP options on the screen. The stats should appear in the next page.

What should the graphs look like?

Yours will look similar to the above [with different numbers of course!], without being exactly the same.

What should I read into the results?

These graphs indicate what the PWP web servers have processed for your site. Be aware that with the growth in caching technology, that more people will have looked at your site -- but as it is served from a local caching device our servers do not see the traffic.

All blueyonder users are transparently cached when accessing the web, as are users of many other ISPs. Many companies also run their own caches -- this is particularly common in large business organisations.

Problems with getting stats working

The stats should work fine -- as long as you have logged into Self Care first to access them. You cannot access your site stats without entering your username and password into Self Care first. We have set the web servers up accordingly to make sure nobody else can access your stats.

If you have any other problems accessing your stats please contact us.
