For every special bag of Hovis Seed Sensations bread and rolls you buy between 15th October and 15th November 2009, a donation will be made direct to the RBL Poppy Appeal. So why not treat yourself and your family, and do you bit for charity too?
Hovis and RBL
Hovis has chosen to support RBL because of its heritage for helping British servicemen and women. In 1941, Hovis actually provided a Spitfire plane to the RAF for its WW2 effort. The plane was named Hominis Vis, Latin for ‘the strength of man’ and the inspiration for Hovis’ brand name.
The Royal British Legion are a fantastic charity providing help and welfare to the serving and ex-Service community and their families. Not just those who fought in the two World Wars, but those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting today. They also campaign on a range of issues affecting Service people, are custodians of Remembrance, and every year raise funds through the annual Poppy Appeal.
Look for special packs of Hovis next time you’re at the supermarket and help support our troops, past and present.
