You will see a lot of activity from spring-flowering bulbs like daffodils, so begin to thin them by removing them or lifting and replanting if they don't have enough room to thrive. Growth in your garden will be at a peak now, thanks to the showers and sunshine; collect rain in a butt to use for watering the garden.
The lawn will need constant tending now, so cut it at least once a week. You can remove any protective covering from re-sown patches.
Harvest your salad veg and beetroots, and think about replanting the rows while you still can, and begin to plant any cultivated veg that you have in your greenhouse. You can plant hanging baskets but keep them under cover, in a bright place, for now.
At the end of the month, plant your summer-flowering bedding plants in the beds vacated by the spring-flowering plants.
Keep the weeds in check; they will be trying to grow everywhere by now.
