Teens and pocket money
According to recent reports around £181million is being racked up on parents’ credit cards by their spend-thrift teenagers. One in seven teens receive more than £500 or more a month – not from their weekend jobs or grandparent handouts - but straight from the parental pocket via credit cards and purchases.
Meanwhile those sneaky kids are using their parents’ passwords to shop from online retailers who store card details.
So how do you teach brand-savvy kids the value of money without becoming the meanest parents in town?
