Beach lifeguard
Are you sick of spending your life cooped up in a dreary office or a stuffy factory? Take a look at these outdoor summer jobs that will pay the rent while giving you a tan at the same time.
But be prepared, while these jobs may seem like a dream in summer, come winter you’ll be wishing you were back in that stuffy office…
How do I get into it?
If you fancy yourself as a Baywatch-style hero, you’ll need to take a course recognised by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS). The National Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NBLQ), is an essential requirement for working as a lifeguard on beaches in Britain and is valid in many countries worldwide.
The course includes areas of study such as CPR, first aid, pool skills and open water skills.
How much does it pay?
The average lifeguard salary in the UK is £15,000.
