A 28-year-old man from London was charged over £1,000 for his gas by nPower despite not spending much time at his small two-bed flat.
Although he always gave regular meter readings to nPower, the bill was estimated on the wrong meter leaving him overpaying by £500. He appealed and won the cash back.
