Mini Coupé concept
As the new Mini Coupé concept is unveiled at Frankfurt, we take a look back at Mini’s large legacy.
If the car was still called the Austin Westminster, it probably wouldn’t be celebrating its 50th birthday this year or still be going strong with not one but two new concepts.
Thankfully, the Westminster name was dropped and the car was named as a tongue-in-cheek nod to its big brother the Morris Minor.
This is the first new Mini concept, unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show - the second is still under wraps but is likely to be a soft-roader which will hopefully look less like it has been stepped on.
And don’t let the ‘concept’ tag fool you, both are destined to go into production next year.
