Mr Marsh's unusual headstone even has personalised plates - 'Steve 1' - BMW logos on the wheels and a complete dashboard. A joke parking ticket was placed on the windscreen for the memorial service, hinting at Mr Marsh's sense of humour.
The impressive scale model, which has raised many a local eyebrow, cost around £50,000 and weighs one ton.
Mr Marsh, who was known to family and friends as BMW Steve, died in his sleep aged 51. His family, from Forest Gate in East London, drew up the headstone designs with the assistance of a stonemason.
