The history of the hot hatch began way back in 1977 with VW's Golf GTI.

The MiTo could well be the Alfasud for the 21st Century.
The chassis is pinched from Fiat's Grande Punto, but the 180bhp, turbo-charged motor promises to deliver the thrills Alfa fans demand.

The MiTo will make its official debut at the Paris Show in the autumn, and hit UK showrooms early 2009 with prices starting at £10,500.
