Dr No (1962)
Stranded by 007 on a descending platform, Dr No is unable to pull himself clear with his metal hands. As a result he is lowered into his own reactor and boiled to death in coolant. Had the filmmaker followed Ian Fleming's book, though, he’d have been buried alive in bird dung.
