Actors who were almost cast in iconic roles
According to Hollywood lore, every eligible leading man of the '80s was considered for the title role in Tim Burton's blockbusting first Batman movie. But amongst the obvious wishlist roll-call of Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks and Bruce Willis, one name stands out as unlikely: Ghostbusters' grump Bill Murray. "I would have been a fine Batman," he said, "but I thought Michael Keaton did a great job."
