In case you've been living on a distant moon all week, let's refresh: Disney bought LucasFilm – and all associated properties – for £2.5 billion, giving them control of the Star Wars franchise. No sooner had the Mouse House made the deal, they announced that production had already begun on a brand new Star Wars movie for release in 2015, with more movies to follow. Here's our wishlist for Episode VII...

Episode VII is a chance to right the wrongs of the prequel trilogy and start afresh with a new cast of characters. The Skywalker saga is complete, with Darth Vader dead, Luke Skywalker victorious and Han and Leia united. Also Chewie got his dog treats. It's time to move on and establish a new over-arching storyline, a new threat and new blood. And please, let's not just have a repeat of the 'farm boy done good' storyline, or a wacky robot called R2-B2.
