Synopsis

Robert Rodriguez writes and directs this highly stylised, ultra-violent, revenge thriller inspired by the grindhouse movies of the 1970s. Danny Trejo stars as Machete, a renegade former Mexican Federale who, having escaped the clutches of notorious Mexican drug baron Torrez (Steven Seagal), now roams the streets of Texas delivering his own unique brand of justice to the greedy and corrupt.

"Robert Rodriguez’ fake-trailer-turned-real-movie is a typically over-exaggerated, violent, almost cartoonish affair. Danny Trejo is perfect in the role he was put on this earth to do whilst the likes of Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba and even Steven Seagal provide some excellent support."
