Synopsis

When North Carolina high school student Landon Carter (Shane West) takes part in a prank that goes wrong, the school principal punishes him by making him teach underprivileged kids and help out with the drama club's latest production. These tasks bring him into contact with born-again Christian Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), and the two become firm friends, despite the taunts of Carter's buddies.
