HAL 9000 - 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
With creepy politeness, 2001's supercomputer HAL 9000 betrays its fellow human astronaut passengers aboard the Discovery One spaceship stating simply "This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it". Thankfully, Dave Bowman finds a way to shut down HAL's circuitry, reducing him to a one-track karaoke machine singing a gradually slowed-down rendition of 'Daisy'.
