Johnny Foreigner Sounding like a high speed car crash between Bloc Party and Broken Social Scene, Birmingham scamps Johnny Foreigner have already become one of the most talked about bands on Road To V. Influences: Los Campesinos!, Hot Club De Paris, Pixies, Jeff Buckley Kagura Drawing influences from as wide as Jeff Buckley, Biffy Clyro and Damien Rice, Kagura manage to sound like loads of bands you know and love and yet come over completely new. Influences: Damien Rice, Doves, Duke Special, Snow Patrol Maxfield Vocalist Valerie Maxfield, who previously featured on many of Groove Armarda's singles, has now gone and formed her own band.
