Jonas Brothers

The three Jonas brothers made it big in the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock in 2008, but they'd previously battled long and hard for their breakthrough. They formed around youngest brother Nick, a child star of several Broadway shows including Les Miserables and The Sound Of Music who, at 10, wrote Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer), a popular single on Christian radio. Joe and Kevin were also writing songs and the three of them joined forces in 2005, opening concerts for various acts, notably Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys and The Veronicas. They were dropped by their label Columbia after one album, but when they were signed to Hollywood Records and promoted by extensive TV exposure on the Disney Channel, their fortunes dramatically improved. They performed with Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana and had a successful album, A Little Bit Longer, before starring in Camp Rock turned them into teen pin-ups.
