Crazy music myths
Myth: Elvis Presley worked undercover for the US Drug Enforcement Agency.
Reality: False. Elvis did have a bizarre desire to work for the DEA and wrote a long letter to US President Nixon asking to do so. The King was fobbed off with an honorary DEA badge. It was probably just as well: by the end of his life, Elvis would have had to arrest himself on a daily basis.
