Super? Perhaps the most super of them all. The peculiar chemistry of The Traveling Wilburys was that it caught aged rockers in a second flush of creativity. The records weren't a waste of time, the first album went platinum all over the world in 1988 and – somewhat like Magnetic Man (and this is the first and last time The Traveling Wilburys will be compared to Magnetic Man) – this fun little jaunt revitalised the members' solo careers. Not so Lefty Wilbury (Roy Orbison to you), who sadly died soon after the debut's release.
