VM: Have you got many famous friends yet?
Chris Brown: I have a lot! Mario, Omarion, Bow Wow and Usher. I actually got a chance to record a song at Usher's house for his In The Mix soundtrack, he's a really cool guy.
VM: Do you have a mentor?
Chris Brown: God, and my manager. I look up to her and she's my guidance. My mum is also my mentor.
VM: I'm guessing you have quite a healthy bank balance these days - what kind of swag do you like to invest in?
Chris Brown: I've put it in a trust fund but I get a little something. With my first pay I bought my mum a house in New Jersey. I don't go crazy but I like to buy a little something here and there [proudly holds up a diamond-encrusted chain and watch]. I also collect sneakers - I like to customise them with my own art.
VM: How do girls in the UK compare with US girls?
Chris Brown: Well I like both! I like the British accent, but the only thing that turns me off is smokers - there are a lot of girls in the US that smoke but it seems heavier over here.
VM: Do you feel a lot of pressure to have a good follow-up single after Run It to prove that you're not a one trick pony?
Chris Brown: I'm looking at some scripts right now. My first acting role is in an American show called One On One. I performed my second single as well as playing myself. Acting was one of my original interests. I think 50 Cent did an incredible job on his first movie.
VM: What do you think of British music?
Chris Brown: I love Craig David's vocal ability. I have his album, but I'm not too clued up on the British music scene yet.
VM: If there's one thing you want the British public to know about you what would it be?
Chris Brown: Erm... that I'm single! And that I'm thankful to people for jumping on board my single as fast as they did.
