VM: I read just this morning that you're rumoured to be playing at the Isle Of Wight Festival. Is this true?
Mel C: Yes! My last UK festival was V99. It's actually my favourite festival - it's such a friendly day, it's very family orientated, I find it a lot more laidback than a lot of other festivals I've been to. It's pretty amazing to be on the same bill as The Stones. We're going to do a bloody good show, I've got a great band. I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised.
VM: Right, enough of this serious stuff - it's time for your quickfire round. Fingers on buzzers. What bores you?
Mel C: Interviews.
VM: Welcome to hell.
Mel C: Not you though! I quite like you!
VM: What was the last album you bought?
Mel C: The View - Hats Off To The Buskers.
VM: What was the first album you ever bought?
Mel C: The Kids From Fame, on vinyl.
VM: Are you jealous of anyone?
Mel C: No one really.
VM: Who on Earth would you least like to swap places with?
Mel C: Erm... ooh, Tony Blair!
VM: Where's your favourite place?
Mel C: My bed.
VM: Where do you never want to go again?
Mel C: Back to the depths of depression.
VM: What's the happiest you've ever been?
Mel C: I'm very happy at the moment. That last few years have been a really good time for me.
VM: If your new album was a smell, what would it be?
Mel C: I think vanilla. But not a sickly vanilla, very subtle.
VM: Fragrant. What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Mel C: I had oats and seeds.
VM: Roughage. Any final words of wisdom for our Virgin Media readers?
Mel C: I'm a Virgin Media person, I've got phone and broadband! Last words of wisdom, er - buy my album, it will improve your life!
VM: Beautiful. Thank you and goodbye!
Mel C: Bye!
