Sing this karaoke classic and you could indeed be facing the final curtain. Sinatra could get away with it because he had indeed lived a stubborn and legendary life, whereas for most pub singers who attempt it doing things their way basically revolves around drinking Stella instead of Fosters. Not exactly the heroic life choices the song is about.
