It's hard to think of a less promising beginning than taking your stage name from Queen's preposterous Radio GaGa, but 22-year-old New York dance diva Joanne Stefani Germanotta has already enjoyed a US Top 10 hit with Just Dance, a luscious slice of club electronica. She looks, dresses and sounds like Madonna's bastard daughter, her music has, at time of writing, been played 44 million times on MySpace (true!), and if her debut album is half as sleek as Just Dance, world domination is assured.
