Her first single since 2002's Thinking About Tomorrow, Conceived heralds Orton's sixth album, Comfort Of Strangers. There's no denying that she's in possession of a delicate and sometimes affecting voice, but here it's wasted on a very anemic affair indeed. There are enough Didos, Jems and Meluas to cover a thousand coffee tables in insipid CDs - add this one to the pile.
