Bloc Party - Two More Years review

Hot on the heels of their Mercury Prize nomination, Bloc Party keep up the momentum by releasing this first glimpse of their sophomore album. On this evidence, the edge has gone a little from the jagged, high energy style of their debut, giving way to a slightly more emotive, plaintive feel. "What was once golden, has now turned a shade of grey", sings Kele, and we'd be tempted to agree were it not for the killer chorus, all heartfelt layered harmonies and weeping synths.
