While some classically-trained musicians come over as more than a little
bit naff when they attempt to jazz things up and assault the charts with a
pop record, you've got to hand it to Charlotte Church for at least picking
a solid tune which is free of any plasticky pizazz or cringeworthy wannabe
antics. Instead, she's opted for something with a more respectable,
Northern Soul feel for her pop debut, all brassy parps and toe-tapping
drums. And here we were worrying she'd have us cringing as much as the
"choir girl goes rock" episode of Faking It...
