This kind of collaboration is nothing new for either party involved - Tom Jones has already dabbled in club music in the Mousse T-produced Sex Bomb, while Chicane, of course, is known for virtually nothing other than collaborations, having worked most famously with craggy crooner Bryan Adams. Stoned In Love is your typical Ibiza house stomper - perhaps a little rockier than most, being heavier on the guitars than the filtered Balearic synths, but certainly nothing unique. The real shame is that Jones's trademark vocals, normally instantly recognisable as bellowing forth from his giant Welsh lungs, are smothered under a thick blanket of production effects, squandering the chance to produce something with any distinctiveness.
