Just as we'd all forgotten that Elton John actually writes music rather than
just running around dishing out insults and swelling his tiara collection, his
new studio album appears on the horizon. This first single is, by all accounts,
classic Elton territory, teaming him up once again with co-writer Bernie Taupin
and boasting both his trademark production style and easy on the ear harmonies.
For someone so fabulously wealthy, though, we suspect "all that he's allowed" is
a little more than the two battered garden chairs and second hand TV which adorn
the slightly uninspiring cover.
