Fergie - London Bridge review

For those of you who haven't yet heard this solo debut effort from the Black Eyed Peas chanteuse, there's a simple formula to describe it: Missy Elliott's Work It + M.I.A.'s Galang + Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl - class - style + clueless Jentina-esque posturing + unfortunate confusion between Tower Bridge and London Bridge in the video = London Bridge by Fergie. Clearly the lass has modelled herself on the in-yer-face, stomping beats, sirens blazing, red hot riot grrrl thing, and while she succeeds in making everything suitably brash and ballsy, a look under the surface reveals little more than the rapacious ego of a wannabe solo star. No charisma, no originality and all the sex appeal of a bathful of cold baked beans. Back to the drawing board, Ferg.
