With a track name this lofty, we can only guess that Fightstar have a soft spot for the more pompous indulgences of old skool heavy metal. Sadly, for all the bluster they muster (pardon the rhyme), Grand Unification sits meekly in the shadow of the big American acts it seeks to ape, like Papa Roach, Deftones and their emo nu-metal ilk. It's not a bad effort, but Charlie's hoarse vocals still stir up those hard-to-shake memories of tweeny poppers Busted - an association which will never do much for their nu-metal street cred.
