Pan-European opera-lite group Il Divo have been quietly raking in the readies with their
debut LP, a selection of swollen orchestral numbers including covers of Unbreak My Heart and My Way (in Spanish). Here, they sing a saccharine ode to mothers the world
over, poising to make a healthy profit from anyone cheesy or tasteless enough to present
this as a gift on Mother's Day. "Mama, thank you for who I am/ Thank you for all the
things I'm not" they sing, presumably giving thanks that they became manufactured CD shifters rather than hardened criminals.
