Teutonic metal overlords Rammstein go straight for the jugular with this first single to be taken from Reise, Reise, their new album. Inspired by the grimly macabre tale of Internet cannibal Armin Meiwes, Mein Teil (which translates as My Part) is a chugging, blood-curdling, industrial-sized beast of a track, which, quite frankly, makes Marilyn Manson sound like the Sugababes. It's all complete pantomime, of course, with the sound of knife sharpening and screams offset by some truly daft lyrics: "You are what you eat"; "It's just so well seasoned and so nicely flambéed". Despite the gut-wrenching subject matter, it's hard to stifle the odd giggle at these Hammer Horror style caricatures.
