Editors were founded at university in Stafford, turning down major label interest to sign to rejuvenated Newcastle independent Kitchenware in late 2004. 2005 saw debut single Bullets selling out its limited run on the day of release, with the band subsequently supporting Franz Ferdinand on their European and UK tour.
In 2006 their debut album The Back Room went platinum and the band toured the US before a run of three sold out shows at London's Brixton Academy. 2007 sees the band play the main stage at the V Festival.
