Amy Winehouse out of V Festival line-up

Amy's slot at V has been filled by the Happy Mondays

Happy Mondays are to replace Amy Winehouse in the V Festival line-up, it has been announced.

Troubled singer Amy has been forced to pull out because she is in a rehab clinic.

She was due to appear at the festival in Chelmsford and Staffordshire this weekend.

A statement from V Festival organisers said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances Amy Winehouse is unable to play at this year's V Festival.

"She was scheduled to play a slot on the 4Music Stage on Saturday 18th August in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Sunday 19th August in Weston Park, Staffordshire.

"Happy Mondays will be replacing her by moving across from the JJB Arena, where they were originally scheduled to play. There will be no replacement in their slot."

Amy is at the Causeway clinic in Essex, accompanied by husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Her spokeswoman said: "Amy Winehouse is putting all her touring commitments for this month on hold until further notice in order to address her health issues."
