Queen guitarist Brian May insisted that his signature perm be reproduced perfectly before he signed over his image for the upcoming Lego Rock Band game. May told Yahoo that he had exchanged a number of emails with the game developers to make sure they got it “exactly right”.

Even though we admit we’re somewhat cynical of a Lego mega-perm, May seems happy with the end result. “I think my Lego character is wonderful. I want one.” It was so good in fact, that the lead singer of Def Leppard had pangs of envy.

He added: “Joe Elliot rang me up and said he was p***ed off because they didn’t make one of him.”

Other bands that have been turned into Lego for the game include Vampire Weekend, the Jackson Five and Blur. Though of all the stars lined up, here at T3, we’re most looking forward to seeing a little Lego Elton John throw a big tantrum.
