Our Gadget Personality of the year Stephen Fry discovered the power of his microblogging words last year when, after attacking the BlackBerry Storm in well-documented fashion, the handset in question suffered poor sales.
What a difference a year makes, though, as it seems RIM’s update - the BlackBerry Storm 2 - has found its nervous way into tech god Fry’s hands and come out unscathed.

As the man himself said on Twitter recently: “Had a play with the new BlackBerry Storm 2 and confess myself v v v impressed." It’s in stark comparison to his scathing review of the original Storm, which offended him so much as to prompt a deluge of tweets including:
“Been playing with the BB Storm. Shockingly bad. I mean embarrassingly awful. Such a disappointment. Rushed out unfinished. What a pity.”
We hasten to add that he’s not wrong about the new handset: it scored mighty favourably in our recent BlackBerry Storm 2 review.
