VM: Speaking of which, who taught you the ropes? Did you have a poker sensei?
PT: "Ha! No, not really. Just picked it up in the dressing rooms on tour. When it's raining, you get a few games going on!"
VM: Did you ever win a mint off your fellow players?!
PT: "Well, I wiped a few out, but we had to stop that a little bit. Otherwise we'd be in a situation where we'd go back onto the field and no one was talking to each other!"
VM: Who were the best players on the England tour?
PT: "Mike Gatting was pretty useful, as was John Emburey. Everyone had a little dabble though."
VM: What's the key to a good poker face?
PT: "My poker face is rubbish. I start jumping up and down when I have a couple of aces!"
VM: So, does the pressure of poker up your vices any? Does the odd whisky or cigar keep you focused?
PT: "Well, yes, but you can't do that on the telly, so I have to get by! Still, too many drinks and it can become a very short game...(Slurring, "I'm all iiinnnn!")"
VM: Do you ever play online, or only in the real world?
PT: "I like a little online poker, yeah. I've done a few tournaments here and there. But I guess I prefer the social side of meeting up for a game."

VM: What about casinos? Been to many?
PT: "Yeah, I've been to a few. We tried to go to one in most of the places we toured. I've just come back from Australia, which has some good casinos. I stayed in the Crown Casino Hotel in Melbourne. Jupiter's Casino up on the Gold Coast is also very good."
VM: What are your favourite casino games?
PT: "Bit poker, bit of blackjack. I've had a go at roulette, but I've never won anything, so I don't tend to stick it out for long! It's all over very quickly with that game. Haven't quite got the hang of craps - or baccarat. Don't really get that either." Visit our casino section for games and guides
