Jurassic Attack driver Don Frankish won last year's event in Cardiff. VM Sport finds out what makes him tick.

How did you get into monster trucks?

At the age of 16 Don started truck and tractor pulling. He met a lot of monster truck guys doing that. Then his brother bought the original Taurus. He then decided he wanted to buy one himself so he bought a truck as well. He bought Knight Warrior in 1990 but quickly changed it to Maniac.

Full-time occupation?

Don is a full time driver now but prior to this he helped out on the family farm. His goal for this season is to win a few tv events.

Favourite opponent?

There is not a particular individual that he enjoys racing against, he likes everybody. He also enjoys seeing both his trucks in the finals.

Favourite stop on the Monster Jam series?

Houston, because of the size of the crowd and the venue.

How do you differ to other drivers?

Don differs from other drivers in that he tries to do the most variety in his freestyle runs. The advice he would give to others is to get an education because this business is costly to get into. Also, make sure you enjoy what you're doing.
