Terms & Conditions
1. The ‘Monster Jam’ (“Competition”) is open from 25 April 2008 until 23 May 2008 (“Competition Period”) and operated by Virgin Media Television Limited, 160 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5QA (“VMTV”) found at URL: www.virginmedia.com/monsterjam
2. The Competition is open to all UK and Eire residents aged 18 years and over, excluding employees, agents (or families of such employees or agents) of VMTV or anyone else connected with the administration of the Competition (“Players”).
3. By entering the Competition, all Players agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any Player who fails to abide by any of these Terms and Conditions, or fails to meet the entry criteria set out in paragraph 2 above, may be disqualified at the sole discretion of VMTV.
4. You may enter the Competition by registering your personal details (i.e. name, address, date of birth, telephone number and email address) and sending your entry via the website www.virginmedia.com/monsterjam
5. Correct entries will go forward to a draw. There will be 3 (three) winning entries, which will be the first entries drawn at random from all eligible entries validly submitted (“Winners”). The decision by VMTV as to the determination of the Winners shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. VMTV accepts no responsibility for incomplete, lost, damaged, incomprehensible or indecipherable entries and all such entries shall be disqualified. Confirmation of sending an entry via phone or ETV is not proof of entry, nor does it constitute receipt. All entries must be received by VMTV by midnight on 23 May 2008 (“Closing Date”). No entries will be accepted after the Closing Date.
7. The Prize: There will be 3 (three) Prizes. Each Winner will receive one of the following:
First Prize
1 (one) winner will receive 2 (two) x VIP tickets to the show which includes:
• the opportunity to ride in one of the trucks that features in the show,
• Standard class return rail travel from the winner +1’s closest station to the venue
• Hotel accommodation on 7 June 2008 based on 2 (two) people sharing
• Dinner for 2 (two) people at the Hard Rock Café on 7 June 2008
Second Prize
1 (one) winner will receive Suit Seats for 12 (twelve) people which is a private box for this group only where they can watch the show
• Travel and accommodation are not included as part of this prize
Third Prize
1 (one) winner will receive:
• 4 (four) x tickets to the live event
• 4 (four) x pit passes to the pre-event party on the competition floor from 3-5 p.m. the show
• Travel and accommodation are not included as part of this prize
For the avoidance of doubt, all of the above prizes must be redeemed on Saturday 7 June 2008 at the event which takes place on Millennium Stadium: Westgate Street, Cardiff, CH10 1NS.
8. Proof of age will be required before the Prize can be given. The Prize includes nothing other than that expressly stated to be included as part of the Prize. Players should be aware that the Prize may be subject to terms and conditions of third parties for which VMTV is not responsible or liable and by entering the Competition all Players are therefore deemed to have accepted and be bound by those terms and conditions.
9. The Winners will be announced on 26 May 2008 on the URL: www.virginmedia.com/monsterjam. The Winners will then be contacted by telephone within 7 (seven) days of the end of the Competition Period. In the event that a Winner fails to confirm acceptance of the Prize within 3 (three) days of receiving notification, then VMTV reserves the right to substitute them with another Player of its choice.
10. The Prize is non-transferable, subject to availability and there is no cash alternative. VMTV may substitute an alternative of the same or comparable value if it, in its sole discretion, deems necessary.
11. The name and county of the Winners can be obtained by writing to VMTV at the address set out in paragraph 1 (above), enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, or by visiting the website [INSERT WEB ADDRESS LINK].
12. The Winners agree to participate in such reasonable publicity as may be requested by VMTV. The Winners agree to the publication of their respective name and county as referred to in paragraph 11 above.
13. The details that you provide in connection with the Competition will be held by VMTV. Your name, address, location, email address and other relevant information you provide will only be used by VMTV for the purposes of administering and fulfilling the Competition and Prize draw and to arrange the Prize unless you consent otherwise. Other information provided will be aggregated in the form of statistics to identify trends and your name will remain anonymous.
14. As far as permitted by law (but not including liability personal injury or death arising from its negligence) VMTV excludes all liability in connection with the Competition or the Prize awarded or not awarded in connection with the Competition.
15. VMTV reserves the right to modify or vary the Competition and/or these Terms and Conditions at any time.
16. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with laws of England and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising.
